There is no better tribute to a loudspeaker design than the musicians enjoying their creations! Our Industry Friend in Thailand, Brilliance Music and Studio posted the video below on their FaceBook page. Enjoy!
Anne Bisson came to visit with us at CES. Her album Four Seasons in Jazz sounds so true-to-life that she gets up and scats with herself.
Genesis is at the CES 2018 show in the same room – 29-233 in the Venetian Towers. This year’s analogue source is the VPI Vanquish direct-drive turntable with the brand new “Fat Boy” tonearm bearing the Transfiguration Proteus D cartridge with the diamond cantilever. Phono preamp is the Genesis Gold Phono.
The heart of the system is the brand new Viola Chorale integrated amplifier (price to be determined) sporting an optional DAC that was literally soldered together the day before Paul Jayson flew out to Las Vegas.
And of course, the loudspeakers are Gary Koh’s latest design – the Genesis Maestro. The latest generation of the beloved Genesis 5-series loudspeakers, they have been garnering a lot of praise for accuracy, neutrality and transparency (and simply awesome bass).

Gary talks about the new Anne Bisson Trio: Four Seasons in Jazz Live at Bernie’s album. Video in English with Chinese subtitles
On a recent visit to Hong Kong (on holiday, actually) Gary was inveigled by HKAVShow into speaking on video about the upcoming D2D album sponsored by Genesis Advanced Technologies (USA) and Brilliance Music (Thailand).
Catch a Witch at Gig Harbor
Here’s a great little video by Gig Harbor Audio featuring probably one of the rarest models of Genesis loudspeakers – the baby G7p “petite”. We are known for 6-foot tall behemoths, so no one expects a little stand-mount monitor, but it is Gary Koh’s “favorite design” because he says “it does so much for so little”. That being relative, of course.
The G7p uses the same tweeter as our flagship Genesis Prime (just much fewer of them) and the same high quality crossover components.
