Hong Kong Show – A Video

The HK show is one of the best attended hifi shows in the world, and this is typical of demos of the Genesis Maestro. Standing room only.

Hong Kong High End Audio Visual Show 2018

Gary and Genesis were at the Hong Kong High End Audio Visual Show – August 10 – 12 – with our distributor, Forthwise Ltd. There, the Genesis Maestros in a high-gloss Madagascar Ebony veneer finish was shown.

This is similar to the set up I had at CES in Las Vegas this year. The Viola Chorale integrated amplifier with Genesis Maestro loudspeakers. I feel that this is one of those magical pairings that transcend price and reputation.

Customer Systems

Since Gary was in Thailand, he dropped by a couple of customers to fine tune their Genesis speakers.

Here’s a pair of Genesis Maestros.

The G Major – custom Woofer Towers to match the G-Force

Distributing bass duties among six 10-inch servo-controlled woofers arrayed vertically makes for a magnificently effortless system. Playing any content at any level you desire.

Just saying. Not bragging.

TIAVS 2018 – Surprises

We knew that Ying Tan of Groove Note Records was attending and bringing the Master Tape of Vanessa Hernandez to play in the Genesis room, but he decided to launch Jacintha’s new album – Fire and Rain – at the show! Not only that, he brought Jacintha who sang with herself – and lucky audiophiles had a free concert!

Then, who should show up but Michael C Ross! We grabbed him and had an impromptu talk and Q&A session about Jacintha’s latest album.

TIAVS 2018

Gary and Genesis were at the Thailand International High-End Audio-Video Show 2018 in Bangkok, August 2 – 5. Hosted by What Hi-Fi Magazine Thailand, it was held at the Bitec Bangna Hall in Bangkok. We were hosted by Audio Excellence Thailand and showed the Genesis Forte (Mark II) with the new Genesis designed 48″ ribbon mid-range. Here are a few photos from the set up.
